A native of Wyoming, I was born and raised in Rock Springs, Wyoming, and have lived in the great state of Wyoming my entire life. In 1996, I married my high-school sweetheart and in 1997 we moved to Laramie, Wyoming, to continue our college educations. In 2003, my husband and I moved to Casper, Wyoming, and were blessed with a baby boy. In 2004, we moved back to Rock Springs and that is where we hang our hats to this day.
After high school, I attended Western Wyoming Community College in Rock Springs where I received my AAS in Office Information Systems in 1993. I continued my education at WWCC until I relocated to Laramie to attend the University of Wyoming. In 1999, I received my BA in Communications & Mass Media (minoring in graphic design, marketing, and business administration). I continued my education at the University of Wyoming receiving my MS in e.Business in 2001. While in Casper, I freelanced and enjoyed being a new stay-at-home mom. When we moved back to Rock Springs in 2004, I continued to freelance and began teaching as an adjunct instructor at Western Wyoming Community College, where my college adventure had begun. Currently I am a full-time associate professor in Business Information Systems and Computer Science where I get to teach courses including Computer Information Systems; Introduction to Information Management; Digital Design Technologies courses such as Intro to Digital Design Technologies, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Acrobat; Microsoft programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and Publisher; Web Development; Cloud Computing, and various other courses as needed.
In my time away from campus, I try to keep up on technology with the help from my now teenage-college-going son. I also enjoy binge watching Netflix with my husband and cuddling my two little white toy poodles Missy and Bitsy. I also try to find time to continue my journey as a new age hipster. I have learned that I am a healer in the land of the woo-woo, taking after my dad. I am now an Access Consciousness Bars facilitator and a Level I Reike Practitioner. I am working on my EFT & TFT Tapping Practitioner certification and plan to eventually obtain my Reiki Master level training. I am learning more and more about chakras and crystals and oils and incense and the whole new age scene. It is quite exciting! Occasionally I enjoy a freelance graphic design job, but usually it is donating my time and creativity - I don't make much if any money as a freelance designer these days. I enjoy taking pictures and lurking on social media sites, but my favorite thing is spending time with my family. We enjoy the outdoors which includes kayaking, riding ATVs, target shooting, and golfing (I love to GOLF!). More recently I have taken up paddle boarding and can't wait to figure out how to stand on my new inflatable SUP. It is tricky! I also enjoy watching sports (basketball is my fav) and cheering on our WWCC Mustangs and our Wyoming Cowboys. GO POKES!
You may be wondering about the halo in my logo. My maiden name is Angelovic and since I was a kid, I always felt a connection to "angels." So, way back when I first started freelancing, I designed my own logo and it HAD to be an A with a halo to go along with "Angel Designs." It just fit me and it stuck. It seems just as fitting now as I venture into being this "new age hipster" as I have titled myself.
Well ... that about sums it up! Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you enjoy my site!
